With over 25,000 children under 13 years of age expected to compete this year, the Irish League of Credit Unions’ School Quiz, now in its 20^th year, is one of the biggest quizzes in Ireland for children. This major schools competition, run throughout the winter in communities all over Ireland, is organised by volunteers from the ILCU’s 500 affiliated credit unions.

Ballyshannon Credit Union Limited will be holding the Credit Union level stage of the Credit Union Schools Quiz 2011 on Sunday 6th February 2011 in Colaiste Cholmcille Ballyshannon at 3.00pm.

Application forms have been sent to all the schools in our common bond and we hope the schools will consider entering teams.

In 2010 St. Macartans N.S Bundoran won the Credit Union level stage and the chapter level stage and progressed through to the finals in the RDS where they performed very well.

The 2011 Credit Union All Ireland Schools Quiz will stimulate and encourage young minds to expand their general knowledge as well as teaching young people essential team-working skills.
