How do I join?
The success of a Credit Union depends on the Common Bond. It is the unique key that combines people who know and trust each other and who will work to help others within their community. To be eligible for membership of Ballyshannon & Killybegs Credit Union Limited, you must be living or working within our defined Common Bond area shown in the map. Complete a Membership Application form at our office.
To become a member you will need to fill in Membership Application Form, which you can download by clicking on the link below, and bring it with you to credit union office along with following documents:
- Photo ID - current valid Passport, Drivers Licence, ML identification Form from the Garda Siochana, official Identity Card (Document issued by the Revenue Commissioners for the Department of Social & Family Affairs)
- Proof of Address - original recent Household Bill (ESB, Eir etc.), Electoral Register, Document from the Revenue Commissioners or other Government Departments, original recent Bank/Building Society Statement, Telephone/Street Directory
- Evidence of your Personal Public Service Number (PPS Number)
- A once-off Membership fee of 1.00
Our Credit Union lets people in the community come together to save and borrow money at low rates, and is operated on a not-for-profit basis, with surpluses being returned to members.
